Tourism in Georgia
The tourism industry in Georgia is not as established as the American tourism industry is, but Georgia is up-and-coming in tourism. They make a lot of money on the tourism of their beautiful landscapes, pristine beaches, castles and medieval towns. Tourism is important to Georgia because their mining and textile industries is not going to cover everything and they don't have much else, so they turn to tourism. In Tbilisi, there are marks of many times: there are preserved medieval towns, a beautiful castle and relics of the Soviet era everywhere. Tourism is expected to grow in Georgia.
American Tourism versus Georgian Tourism
The destinations here in the United States are more popular with tourists than the castles of Georgia, but things in Georgia would be a lot worse without tourism. The United States may be prettier than Georgia with its great mountains and lush meadows, but Georgia has beautiful and preserved medieval towns, a true castle and relics of the now nonexistent USSR. Instead of going to the Grand Canyon or Mount Rushmore, try Tbilisi, the mountains or meadows, or its beautiful beaches of the Black Sea. Its a good way to help Georgia.
My Personal Opinion on Tourism in Georgia
The United States might be large and therefore have more tourism opportunities than Georgia, but the poor in the United States are much better off than the poor in Georgia. Spending money in Georgia will give money to the people, who will then spend money at businesses, who will then spend money for supplies, advertising, and so on. As you can see, if you give or spend money, you can start a whole circle of spending, in other words, the whole country's economy improves. Plus, Georgia is a beautiful country, So come and visit!
